Been having lot of fun doing some environment drawings with ink lately. The ink really helps me to keep turning these out pretty quick. Most been made in 10-20 mins, while eating breakfast ^^

Found an old life drawing ink work dusting on my hard drive. Really missing those Wellington days and Vincent St life drawing sessions!
Been working on a Goon game character on my spare time. Here’s some progress so far:
Something little different I’ve been working on between the Dota2 stuff. This is for a short film project that I’ve been part of and the goal was to look into some head scans out there and see if we could use them as bases for our characters in the film. This specific head scan is from Ten24 and I’ve re-posed it and retopoed the lower subdivision layer to be fully symmetrical for it to be ready for rigging and animation. I’ve also changed the underlying proportions to see how we could change one head to represent multiple different characters. The color map is still identical with the original. This is the Ten24 Original
Finished with the texturing for the wolf. Next up skinning the final LOD1 model and getting everything ready to be exported.
A dire wolf mount idea for a Dota 2 hero: Mirana. This project is part of Polycount forums Dota 2, September competition. Started with a sketch on top of the Mirana character sheet, high poly model was blocked out and sculpted in ZBrush. Currently working on the texturing of the first LOD model (2498 tris). The Color blockout has been mainly finished, still extra coloring to be done to break the white fur and to add detail over all.
Finally finished! Thanks for Valve for adding such a great tools for uploading models into their workshop. Turns out the uploading is so much easier than compiling your own .mdl files.. Lore: Heirloom of the Meranth family. Passed down from father to son for generations until hidden before the execution of Pallid Meranth to avoid confiscation by the Vigil Knights. As the lore goes; Sven’s father Pallid Meranth was one of the Vigil Knights, who was executed because of violating the Vigil Codex (having his son, Sven, out of marriage).
Little update on the sword. After some tinkering with the maps, the sword is slowly getting ready to be trialed in the game engine. The color layer needs a bit more work and the current texture size will have to be resampled from 1024×1024 to 256×256, but it is almost finished. Special thanks to Ace-Angel and Drew++ from the Polycount forums for writing the Dota 2 Shader for maya. Been having fun playing around with it and it certainly makes the map creation lot easier. Normal map created in xNormal.
High resolution model sculpted in ZBrush. Basemesh was done in Maya.
This is the number 4 design taken to step further to add lot more detail in greyscale. I decided to go with this design because of Sven’s history with the Virgil Knights. I thought the symmetric and angular design was quite fitting for an authority and this sword could be a heirloom of Sven’s father from his days of being one of the Virgil Knights. Name Ideas: Greatsword of the Citadel, Pillar of the Order, Greatsword of Divine Right
